The book is an interesting travel log. The author missed or did not mention many existing fascinating sights and places in his travels. I have traveled approximately the same route as he did, at a different level, and have seen a different India besides the one he describes. Certainly there is more to see in the former Bombay than the Victoria Gate and the Taj Hotel.

This is a book of chapters, each one informative and fun to read. I enjoyed this book a great deal especially because you can leave the book for a long period of time and not have to refresh your memory.
